Ballet Mississippi has a committment to provide young people with opportunities to experience ballet by offering reduced- cost matinee performances for schools, partnering with USA International Ballet Competition to provide dance instruction to inner-city youth, and performing at venues throughout the city, like the Blair Batson Children's Hospital Light-A-Light Event.

Ballet Mississippi will offer two reduced ticket price performances of The Nutcracker for school groups. Reservations and advance ticket purchases are required.

Partnering with IBC, Ballet Mississippi provides studio space for the IBC Summer Arts Camp and City Dance programs which provide access to ballet instruction for those who may not otherwise participate in ballet. The IBC City Dance group joined Ballet Mississippi on stage for Let the Music Dance in 2007 and Swan Lake in 2008.
