Join Ballet Mississippi for its annual
Spring Performance at Thalia Mara Hall May 1, 2011 at 3 p.m.
Act III from The Sleeping Beauty is headlining the show with appearances by fairytale characters, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Puss 'n Boots, Hop 'o My Thumb, and Bluebird, that will charm children and adults alike.
Guest Artists Mikhail Ilyin and Margaret Severin-Hansen will dance the roles of the Prince Florimund and Princess Aurora. Mikhail is an ongoing Artist-in-Residence with Ballet Mississippi and is in his 4th year with the American Ballet Theatre in New York. Dancing with him is Margaret Severin-Hansen, an outstanding principal ballerina with the Carolina Ballet.
Students from the IBC-USA's CityDance program will open the show. TALK Dance will perform as well.
Ballet Mississippi's Lower School Performance is Friday, April 29 at 6 p.m.. The Lower School Performance features classical music that is specifically written for children. All levels of the Lower School will perform, as well as select dances from the Upper School Classes. |
